All visitors to Wirral Ladies' are also asked to adhere to our
dress code and
etiquette
The course is compact and consequently if you hit a wayward drive or shot YOU MUST SHOUT
“FORE”. There are several hidden tees and the fairways are close together. Take particular
care when driving off the 4th and the 11th. Also ensure that players in front are out of
reach before driving the ball – this is especially important on the 10th and 16th holes.
Temporary local rule – Drainage Ditches. If the ball lands in or touches the sand/gravel
or when the players stance or the area of intended swing is interfered with ball may be lifted
and dropped, without penalty, within one club-length of and not nearer the hole than the
nearest point of relief. Rule 25b(i).
Temporary Local Rule - 5th Hole. Preferred lies will remain in place on the 5th hole
throughout the playing season and during qualifying competitions (authorised by Cheshire Union
of Golf Clubs). " A ball lying on a closely mown area on the 5th hole may be lifted, without
penalty and cleaned. Before lifting the ball the player must mark its position. Having lifted
the ball, he must place it on a spot within six inches of and not nearer the hole than where
it originally lay, that is not in a hazard and not on a putting green".
